Virginia DMV requires licensed driving instructors to complete specific training courses and meet state qualifications before they can teach behind-the-wheel. At GreenLine Driving Academy, that training is only the beginning.

GreenLine is owned and operated by retired Police Captain Dave Green, who brings 30-years of law enforcement experience to every lesson. During his career, Dave served as a School Resource Officer, supervised both the Traffic Safety and Training Units, and completed extensive emergency vehicle operations training. Those experiences provide a perspective that goes far beyond teaching a student how to pass a road test. Students learn to recognize hazards early, understand common driver mistakes, maintain control of their vehicle, and develop defensive-driving habits needed to make safer decisions behind the wheel.

The goal at GreenLine is not simply to produce licensed drivers. It is to help develop confident, responsible, and defensive drivers who understand how to protect themselves, their passengers, and others every time they are on the road.
